The high-level steps for creating a release are described in our wiki at
https://wiki.blackboxframework.org/index.php?title=How_to_develop_with_Git#Building_Stable_Releases.
The problem with a detailed instruction list is that it may become inconsistent with every little change of the Github user interface, for example.
Robert, if you want to go through the release steps, just do it.
Let me know if something is unclear. Update the wiki if you find improvements.
Of course, I can also offer to do it.
Note that after a commit it may take a couple of minutes until the build is completed.
One detail I cannot remember is this: in release v1.7 there are two
Source code files (zip and tar.gz)
but I don't know if they have been created automatically or if they have been attached explicitly.
