Chair for 2017

Post by Robert »

Firstly I am leaving on Wednesday morning for 10 days touring (on a pedal cycle) so can we wait until my return for any new votes, or do we need a volunteer to stand in during my trip? (I can read messages from time to time on my small navigation tablet, but find it impractical to use to write anything serious.)

Secondly, can we have some volunteers or nominations for the second half of 2017 as my turn is nearing completion?

Thanks

I definitely remove myself from consideration.

I am prepared to continue for a second turn if there are no other nominations.

I shall definitely not stay in post beyond 2017.

That is NOT the way that members of the other organisations I volunteer to be a part of address each other. As far as I know there is no requirement for the members to take a turn to serve as a chairman. If I am mistaken then I will have to resign my membership.

OK, let us ask Bernhard next.

@Bernhard: would you be willing to serve as the next chair?

Chris,
No negative thoughts were intended.
The silence of the members suggested to me that a little "goading" might be needed.
If my comments were offensive then I profusely apologize.
In general, one never knows how others will respond to a comment.

Best,
Doug
