Josef, didn't you use the Omic mailing list and receive message from anyone who posted to it?
I found that very convenient and not complicated at all.
If one does not wish to receive such messages one simply removes them self from the list.

Doug
There is nothing wrong with a mailing list as such, but do we need a mailing list
as a contact address for a press release? This is the question.

If you send an e-mail to a contact address you do not expect this e-mail to be published
to a mailing list with unknown receivers. This does not seem to me to be the appropriate tool for our purpose.
And don't forget: Ivan mentioned that it causes technical problems.

I agree that for a press release the email should point to a single individual and not be broadcast.
The technical problems are due to the wrong email tool. What is needed is a real email server.

I am sure that simple alias is enough for this purpose. We do not need to keep all this email in our server.
I made the archive mailbox
blackboxframework ( a ) gmail.com
all messages also will be stored there.

"Why use BlackBox?" section in our web-site need to be checked.
http://blackboxframework.org/index.php? ... kbox,en-us

Also take a look at the Actions example I made:
http://blackboxframework.org/index.php? ... lackbox,ru
Now it is posted only in Russian page. It is heavy (1.8 M) but looks good. Do you think I can post it in all languages pages?

cfbsoftware wrote:The less the original wording is changed the closer to the truth it is likely to be. e.g. something like (suitably adjusted to fit in the original context):

There was no "BlackBox Framework Center" mentioned in the original BB 1.6 announcement.
It was handed over to the abstract "community". So I now changed it to

"..., when BlackBox Component Builder was handed over to the community."

There is also the detail question what the organization really is.
Is it "BlackBoxFramework.org" or is it the "BlackBox Framework Center"?
Currently I tend to prefer the latter.
BlackBoxFramework.org is the home page of the organization, isn't it?

I changed the organization and the headline. diffs at http://wiki.blackboxframework.org/index ... &oldid=372.

A headline should contain a verb. Otherwise it is not clear what the article is about
when you see only the headline.
new:
"BlackBox Component Builder 1.7 Released"

The link at the end refers to the forum where there is no additional information about the center.
It should better link to http://wiki.blackboxframework.org/index ... tle=Center, shouldn't it?
This page should also be reachable from the main page. Also the 1.7 migration guide should be
reachable from the main page. These pages are almost unreachable now.

I am also thinking about the paragraph ordering.
The usual style seems to be to start with the news and give the background information later.
Now the news are split into two paragraphs, one at the start and one at the end with
the background information in between.

Josef, I think better to change gmail back to our alias chair ( a ) blackboxframework.org.
I do not want to give people access to blackboxframework ( a ) gmail.com. It is only for archive issue.

I changed structure a bit.
IMHO it looks better now.
1. Clear message in the first sentence
2. Then brief information about BlackBox technical side
3. Then details about release and it's history

http://wiki.blackboxframework.org/index ... ss_Release
Diff http://wiki.blackboxframework.org/index ... &oldid=377
