Chrome browser WARNING!

Post by DGDanforth »

Google's Chrome browser does not behave correctly on this website.
I was able to view the results of a vote without having voted.
It also does not indicate whether topics have been visited previously.

The Firefox browser does the correct things.

This is standard phpBB board with millions of users, so it is superstable.

This is normal behavior. That is good for making first choice without been influenced by others voices.

This can happen if you not logged in... I can guess only this case.

I am usually using Firefox. I will try Chrome.

Doug said he was able to view the results, so that means he could have been influenced by others' voices before voting himself.

Thanks, Chris! I misunderstood. I will check this with Chrome later.

That is correct.
I should not be able to see other's votes before I vote.

I made new poll and had checked the chrome browser. It looks like you did not login in your chrome browser. The board hides results only for registered users... The only way to change this is to make some closed area in the forum for Center members only. Then the poll is closed we will move it to public area.

Ivan,
That's correct. I did not specifically login when using the Chrome browser.

So, I have made the closed subforum for voting. Now you will not see the results accidentally.

Is it still possible to allow for revoting, i.e. to change the vote after it has been cast?
I hope so. In the past it turned out that
center members need to change their votes after finding
out about a misunderstanding.

Yes, the voice still can be changed after voting.
