This voting is about merging the changes of topic branch issue-#48
(fixes in HostPrinter) to master.

The changes are as proposed by Josef Templ in CPC 1.7 rc5.
The changes are already used in CPC 1.7 for quite some time and proved to work well.
For the normal user there are no observable differences.
