Debian repository

Post by Ivan Denisov »

I want to make Debian repository with Linux GUI version and host it at the Center server.

I am taking some changes from Center version and incorporate them into Freenix version.
And then I am making packages for distribution:
http://oberon.molpit.com/packs/bbcb_1.7-a1-3_i386.deb

This is corresponding (complying) to the Center mission. What do you think about this idea?

Ivan,
What is the motivation for this?
I know nothing about Debian.

The Linux GUI version is developed and maintained outside the center and does not
follow the center's review and discussion process. So it cannot be
treated at the same level as the official BB for Windows version.
We can put a link under 'useful links', for example, but in any case it must be clearly
visible that this is not an official center activity.

My aim is to make the repository for people who installed package for them can update it easily.

As I saw, you do not carry about this issue. I really do not want breaking through the administrative wall of the Center, so I will make repository on my server until some interest.
