I am porting some of my files to 1.7, which is quite a big job. It is surprising how often I made the "IN" to "VAR" error, which is now being detected!

One immediate problem is I can't get CpcDropDown to work. Am I missing something obvious, or is there a problem here? It compiles fine.

and it works on my computer. There is a place where you can ask this kind of question:
http://community.blackboxframework.org/
Board index ‹ BlackBox Component Builder Support ‹ Components Support

I don't answer it here.
There are other people who would like to get the answer too.
In the CPC edition I proposed some changes about this topic which the Center edition discarded.

After release we need to provide such a document.

I think that the document should be renamed to "BlackBox_Component_Builder_1.7 Migration"
because it is not about 1.7 as such but about migration to 1.7.

However, I don't know if renaming is possible in our wiki.

Is this document linked from somewhere?
I cannot find it.

When this document is finished, we should announce the release in the community forum.

It is better to add more information about 1.7 and keep it's name.
Josef Templ wrote:However, I don't know if renaming is possible in our wiki.
Only possible to make new page and transfer data.

Robert already post the message to the community board.

I think, that we should give more information... also can send a letter to subscription list.

"Marketing" BlackBox now needs to be considered.
"Who" is the audience must also be considered.
For example: programmers; consumers; computer scientist researchers; etc.?

I could not agree more.
We could, for example, prepare a press-release and send it to as many news tickers as possible.

In the german speaking world, for example, there is heise.de.
As far as I have seen it is possible to send them a notification about such events
but what they expect is a link to a press release statement.

Here is a starting point for such a press release text that tries to follow international conventions taken from
http://www.marketingsource.com/pressrel ... easeformat.
Native speakers, please check the wording.
