I am porting some of my files to 1.7, which is quite a big job. It is surprising how often I made the "IN" to "VAR" error, which is now being detected!

One immediate problem is I can't get CpcDropDown to work. Am I missing something obvious, or is there a problem here? It compiles fine.

There are other people who would like to get the answer too.
In the CPC edition I proposed some changes about this topic which the Center edition discarded.

because it is not about 1.7 as such but about migration to 1.7.

However, I don't know if renaming is possible in our wiki.

It is better to add more information about 1.7 and keep it's name.

I think, that we should give more information... also can send a letter to subscription list.

"Marketing" BlackBox now needs to be considered.
"Who" is the audience must also be considered.
For example: programmers; consumers; computer scientist researchers; etc.?

I could not agree more.
We could, for example, prepare a press-release and send it to as many news tickers as possible.

In the german speaking world, for example, there is heise.de.
As far as I have seen it is possible to send them a notification about such events
but what they expect is a link to a press release statement.
