The changes as proposed by X512 are in topic branch issue-#117.

The proposal by X512 on the community forum was excellent, IMHO.
It fixes the observed bugs in an elegant way.
In addition it provides in improved behavior for the grouping of entries in the undo stack.

I have adapted the issue in Redmine as well.
