So, if I understand you correctly, you say: No vote should be called, without sufficient prior discussion of the issue at hand. Right?
If so, I fully agree.
Rene
Agree cfbsoftware. The polls must be simple thread there anyone write a post with his vote (pro/contra/abstain) and clearly explain his position.
Agree Rene. No vote should be called, without sufficient prior discussion about the defintion of question and variants (answers) to vote.

If do not count VAlexey:
(100 + 80 + 70 * 6 + 50) / 9 = 72,(2)
72% become 80%

If there is no new poll, do everybody agree with 80%? Please say it now.

I understand that OberonCore abstained of voting. OberonCore we can count you like voted for 100%, but this will not change the result.
(100*2 + 80 + 70 * 6 + 50) / 9 = 75
75% become 80%

The majority voted for 70.
So the result is 70.

Rene, this vote can not be count like that. Before voting I mention the counting system.
Ivan Denisov wrote:The results of this voting will be average of members choices rounded up to decade.
And now changing of it is not very honest, from my point of view.

But I will prefer 70% rather than 80% :)

Ouch, sorry :) The bad thing of polls that they are anonymous and we do not know who are the one not voting men :) so better to vote by message like much members suggesting now in discussions.

Ah, you are right, I missed that.

OTOH, this would mean that he who puts a question to vote decides the method of counting, and I think this should not be possible. At some time in the future, we will have to decide for a counting system.

Sorry, I was not aware of this special kind of voting.
To all: Please avoid any special kinds of voting in the future.
Keep it simple. We all have more things to do then reading the fine print.

Sorry, Josef and everybody.

We will try to make next votes more simple.

Such the strange system was used because we needed to define the number. That is difficult to make with simple vote, because the voices can be spread thought several choices. For example: 3 men for 30%, 2 for 70%, 2 for 80%, 2 for 90% and 1 for 100%. The usual system gives 30% but it is obvious that 30% will not represent group opinion in that case! That is why I have defined "average rounded up to decade" counted system. Rene has suggested other system with artificially condensed options, but it includes some pre decision.
