issue-#35 Add docu for DevSelectors
What is DevSelectors? I have never used it. Useful feature for testing and cross-platform development. Used rare at final stages. In our case it is an example of text in-line controls which are drawn without fonts. http://oberoncore.ru/wiki/blackbox/devselectors oops that looks like the Oberon-V4 V...

Re: issue-#33 adding platform detection for wine, Windows 7,
that we should not add Wine detection hmm, no, I do not object against Wine detection, but we should carefully think when using it in some "higher" level modules, i.e. outside Kernel, subsystem Host, and so on ... Also as far as I understand Ivan, the error/bug occurs also in a russian Wi...

Re: issue-#33 adding platform detection for wine, Windows 7,
just a side note: According to Wine developer FAQ 5.5 (see: http://wiki.winehq.org/DeveloperFaq#head-96551a33b168826cd805c2f62c4ea705ac02f350 ) it is a bad idea to program around a bug in Wine. But I do not find any such usage in the proposed diffs, so it is apparently ok and it is definitely the re...

Re: issue-#29 inconsistent checks for valid subsystem names
Dear Ivan, for me this is some variable with POINTER TO RECORD type which has method Do! However now it can be subsystem some with module Thing with PROCEDURE Do*(); hmm, yes, but that is convention and I consider it as "good practice" to start a module name with a capital letter, but I do...

Re: issue-#29 inconsistent checks for valid subsystem names
yes, but I found several references with "-> 7.2 Modules and Subsystems"Surprisingly, I did not find the subsystem feature anywhere outside this tutorial.
It appears to me that these references should be changed to "3.2. Modules and Subsystems"

Ominc BlackBox Component Builder port for OpenBSD and Linux
DuckDuckGo pointed me to https://github.com/aixp/BlackBox which is titled "Oberon Microsystems BlackBox Component Builder port for OpenBSD and Linux" ... the author/committer Alexander V. Shiryaev is registered for the Center/community Forum, but as far as I can see, he has not posted unti...

Re: Mac version of BlackBox
Bernhard, I am curious on how much the Win and Mac differ. T'would be nice to see if one could narrow the differences. yes, it would be nice, but I see the following problem: We don't have sources of Win 1.3.2.2, we have only access to Win 1.5 and newer. So I expect differences anyway and we have t...

Re: Issue #19: Unicode for Component Pascal identifiers
thanks, I had interpeted it this way, but I just was a bit puzzled by Doug's formulation.Josef Templ wrote:identifiers still follow the usual lexical rules but allow for inclusion of any Unicode letter
(alphabetical Unicode characters) not only those from ISO-Latin 1.

Re: Issue #19: Unicode for Component Pascal identifiers
any null terminated string of CHAR can be used as an identifier. hmm, do you really mean any? I think it still should obey to the restrictions of Language Report 3.1: 1. Identifiers are sequences of letters, digits, and underscores. The first character must not be a digit. ident = (letter | "_...

Re: Mac version of BlackBox
ok, when I find the time I'll check how it could be managed.
I guess I have to rename all files in the tree to have extensions before I should try to upload them.
